I really hate wearing black school shoes. They are annoying and uncomfortable.
Lots of my mates wear trainers to school and almost no-one says anything about it. I have white Reebok Classics or Nike Air Max trainers.
What do you think?
I think that if:
• you are a citizen living within a particular country with a legal system of laws; or
• you are a member of an organization that is governed by standing orders, rules and regulations; or
• you are participating in an activity that has rules / regulations;
you should, as far as reasonably possible, adhere to those laws, rules and regulations, to the best of your ability.
If you dislike (or question the legitimacy of) those laws, rules and regulations, it is OK to argue against them and campaign for them to be amended / rescinded;
but nevertheless you should continue to conform to those laws, rules and regulations, until they are changed by the proper processes.
If your school has a dress code that prohibits the wearing of white trainers / sports shoes during normal academic classes, then you should limit your choice of footwear to whatever you have that is permitted.
If your school has a specific uniform (as is commonly the case here in the UK), then you should conform to the appropriate uniform choices.
Compliance to relevant laws, rules and regulations, IS important even when they appear to be inconvenient, unreasonable, or "annoying".
If you can get away with wearing your trainers then go ahead. I think the whole thing is stupid. Trying to force everyone to wear the exact same kind of shoe to school and have the exact same hair style and etc. -.-
Yeah I can get away with it. I agree, it is stupid to treat us like robots.
Wow, talking about getting out of your pram...
