What are your thoughts on emo people?

well, I hate to disappoint you guys but I really don’t think I like them, they sort of bring out depressing moods and you find em all over the place!! but I suppose I dont no what background they come from so they may have a reason to be like the way they are. xx

I like emo people one of my friends is an emo an she is really nice one of the nicest people I know xx

I dont have a problem with emos. I just dont get the point of being emo. I just think its stupid. and a retarded trend that will end up fading away.

I personally think emo people are pretty cool…I lovee there hair and clothing and makeup but the fact that some cut there wrist and are depressed all the time aren’t really the ones I like=/ Although I do it sometimes…lol just kidding!

their normal people..(tho I may look like one I’m not) but even if they do cut themselves theres normaly a reason behind it. they don’t just do it because they can. but even people who arn’t emo still cut. so why’s everyone just label them as cutter’s? It’s stupid.

the ones that just listens to those type of music, its normal. the ones that wants to cut their wrist and end their lives should really go do it and stop talking about it.

I think emo’s are fine. No different really. I mean everyone’s different and I can’t understand why people think they are like freakish aliens.

Peoble long to belong, specially teenagers. But it will pass as everything passes, and there is no way to change that. Sometimes there’s a need to be different and at the same time a need to be considered and equal. You get all this when you join a group that might be the “emos”, the “punks” or “floggers” - whatever suits you best-. The natives in my country, some centuries ago, hurt themselves cutting their body severely whenever somebody they cared for died. I’m afraid there’s nothing new on earth. They used to say that mental pain is much worse than physical pain, so in order to placate suffering, they injured their flesh instead.

there just people normal people who considere themselves a sterotype to find someone wree they fit in just like everyone else who consideres themselves part of a sterotype however, cutting has nothing to do with being emo self harm is self harm and in a way I beleive this sterotype has developed into more of a cult to some poeple because sometimes when kids are depressed, they dont get help, they think everything is worthless and pointless, and they connect with other people who feel the same way and a lot of the problems they do have can easily be solved had they just open up and tralk about it so just another sterotype, that sometimes people take too far
