How warm should I run the bath for my puppy?

We have had the puppy for about 9 months and have given her heaps of baths but tonight I was wondering what the right temperature actually is. When I usually run it, I only put a bit of hot water in. Just to make it around room temperature as I don’t want to boil her or freeze her. The dog is pure maltese and only 1 year old.

Answer #1

It’s fine. Room temperature is fine for dogs. we bath all our dogs in water that is slighly more than room temperature or room temperature, because too hot can scald their skins.

Answer #2

Not to.

Answer #3

I give my cat a bath in water that is just slightly above room temperature. She seems fine with that. I dont like anything under room temp because she refuses to let me dry her and then she’s cold afterwards. It also depends on how the dog is going to dry afterwards. With my big dogs they’d just get sprayed from a hose outside and then run around in the sun.
