Want to learn to play the guitar but have small hands.

I’d love to be able to play the guitar, but my hands are soo small and I find it really hard to play notes on frets that are more than a space apart.

Anyone got any tips?

I too have small hands but ultimately your fingers will stretch the more you practice, just like if you tried to play the keyboard. Another option is to buy a guitar with a thinner “handle” hope this helps, mwa mw

They sell guitars especially made for girls, since our fingers are often shorter. Look it up. I know one brand is called Daisy Guitars. There are a ton of brands out there though.

the kind of guitar you play can make a difference. yes, they do make guitars especially for girls. but, I don’t think they look as cool, and so I play regular guitars. test them out before you buy them. learn a few simple chords (Em, G, and C are the easiest, in my opinion) and when you go to the guitar shop, test out those chords to make sure you can at least form them. if not, best not get that guitar. as you play though, you’ll be able to stretch your fingers out more. just keep practicing ^_^ good luck!
