How to learn to play guitar?

I want to learn how to play guitar, or at least the chords or whatever they’re called for now. fingering positions stuff. is there a website with a list of the notes and stuff? with like pictures..

Start by using tab music. It’s pretty easy, because it just shows six lines representing the six strings on the guitar, with a number for which fret to place your fingers on. Go to http://www.ultimate-guitar.com for tab music.

probably but it might be better to buy a book that way you can practice anywhere… they aren’t too expensive and they have pictures.
