Is it okay to walk a small dog in the snow?

Answer #1

Yes but I wud recommend shoes and sweater for the dog, if not that just watch how long you have them out thr

Answer #2

I just need to take her out to user the bathroom, I don’t have any clothes for her just yet, since I just got her…but I plan on getting some soon.

Answer #3

What kind of puppy is it? I can help a little better if I know that

Answer #4

yeah its fine. I walk my dog all the time and he is a small little thing. If your dog’s paws start to bleed tho, I would get little boots or something. my dog’s paws only bleed when he’s out for too long playing fetch xD and even them we just take him inside and wipe it off, it stops pretty quick

Answer #5

It’s less than 10lbs. She is Chihuahua, Pomeranian, and Yorkie mixed.

Answer #6

Well I would recommend not more than 5 in temps less than 32 degrees, if its above that he or she shud b fine with like 10 minutes, go out with the puppy, without gloves, when ur hands r cold the puppy is cold, do them like you would a baby, I’m sure u will do fine, if u want to know anything else just ask

Answer #7

I don’t think it is all ok as the dog is too small to be taken in snow and adverse weather conditions might effect the dog severely also

Answer #8

Personally, I wouldn’t. Imagine you walking in snow with bare feet- ouch and cold! You can buy doggie shoes though that might be good. But I’d think he would get too cold, and cold can hurt.

Answer #9

Well, how is she going to use the bathroom then? I don’t have clothes or shoes just yet, since I just got her.
