If you still want to test the best time to do so is 3-4 weeks after you had unprotected sex or 2-3 days after a missed period. It takes about 3-4 weeks for your body to produce enough pregnancy hormones for an at home pregnancy test to read. You can find out as early as 2 weeks after having unprotected sex by getting a blood test done by a doctor.
