How can I give my hair volume?

I have thin hair with layers that touches down to my shoulders. It is naturally wavey after I dry it and it curls up at the ends. I straighten it everyday and it’s getting to look blah. How can I get volume to my hair, and it is always going to flip up at the ends even if I put some type of product in it?

well being a hairdresser myslf and having curly hair, the best advice I can tell you is to have your stylist cut you shorter layers also the product line called sexy hair concepts is amazing for curly hair you need curly sexy shampoo and conditioner followed by big sexy root boost plus turn your head upside down, with a blow dryer on low speed and low heat take your opposite hand and scrunch your hair slowly toward the scalp, try to dry for about five minutes then flip back over and continue to scrunch the back and sides. then take canned hairspray, I recommend big sexy’s spray and play harder lightly mist your hair then take both hands and fluff your hair in an upward motion, and continue this until you have reached your desired style. salon products are expensive but like I tell my hundreds of clients dont tell me you cant do it if your not using what im using because what im using is the best alternative for you style! good luck! :) hairtastic@gmail.com

I have thick brown hair but it dries all poofy and fryzzy. I used to straighten it all the time too but then I wanted a new look. After I get outo of the shower, my mom does 3 french braids, & when I wake up in the morning I take them out and my hair has nice ripply waves! All I do is add a little hairspray and it looks great!

I have fine hair and layers too. I start by blow drying the roots on high heat for 10 seconds. I do the top first and then sides. Turn heat down to low and use a rounded brush. Curl under and hold heat on for 10 second intervals, You can do this on slightly wet hair, works best for me… Then turn on cool setting and blow to set the style. You’ll be amazed at the body and volume you get. Have fun..;)
