How to add volume to my hair?

My hair is always dull and flat. I got it done a few days ago (layers &highlights:D) and I really like it. If I dont iron my hair though, its a big poofy mess (not in a good volumizing way!) So I need to iron it, but I need a way to make my hair a little volumized? Do you guys have any tips or tricks?? Thanks(:

Wait, you Iron it? Is that what you call straightening? I would try straightening only the ends of your hair, so the top will still have volume! I tried it once and it worked ok for me!!!(=

Try to backbrush your hair a little bit then flip it down and flip it back up really fast and add some hairspray. It works for me. You can also tease it or get some volumizing mousse or a root lifter

You could try teasing it, using products such as root booster, and perhaps blow-drying your hair upside down would help.

JUst use one of those backcombs to give it a small bit of volume at the back, but dont overdo it! then add a little hairspray
