Can someone with vision in only one eye watch a 3D movie?

Will they get the 3D effect?

Answer #1

seeing a movie in theatres probably, but buying a 3D movie or renting one probably not. in the theatres they have good 3D glasses, but the ones that come with the videos you buy & rent are just one lens red & one blue, they suck.

Answer #2

Thanks! the Saw3D questions made me think I wanted to go see it and then I was wondering if the 3D effect would work as I’m blind in one eye.

Answer #3

Even if one has vision only in one eye, he will get 3D effect and it is not that 3D effect will be got only fro people with 2 eyes. I have actually heard from people with one eye enjoying 3 D movies in theaters

Answer #4

Spatial dimension (depth perception) comes from the use of 2 eyes with a single focus point, with only one eye it would seem unlikely that 3D vision would be possible.

Answer #5

You can test this yourself by simply closing one eye next time you’re at a 3D movie…let us know how that went ;)

Answer #6

i am on the edge of legally blind in one eye and i can still see if its with the black glasses in theatres the new good ones but with the piece of crap old ones with one red and one blue lens no because both eyes have to work for those
