I'm needing to get a vehicle but I can't afford much, but I want it to look nice and sporty and to be gas efficient. I can only afford to make monthly payments below $200. Does anybody have any suggestions?
Well my suggestion to you is to shop for a good used one. Even though the interest rate on the car loan will be somewhat higher than the rate for a new car, you will be borrowing WAY less money and be able to pay it off sooner. I know some car salespeople, and listen to this advice: DON'T tell the sales person what you want your payment to be cause they will sometimes find a way to get you that payment but at the same time, you could be over paying for the car in some way either through interest or price. Go to a lending institution or bank FIRST and get an idea of how much they will loan you, at what interest rate and payments ect., THEN start shopping for a car after you know what you can and can't do. This will give you an upper hand that you keep to yourself while you negotiate with the car dealer or individual wanting to sell you the car. Hope this helps.
2011 Hyundai Sonata
MSRP: $19,195
Payment: $199 per month
2010 Nissan Versa
MSRP: $9,990
Payment: $250 per month
2010 Toyota RAV4
MSRP: $21,675
Payment: $189 to $209 per month
2010 Chevrolet Malibu
MSRP: $21,922
Payment: $199 per month
2010 Mazda3
MSRP: $15,295
Payment: $247 per month
Now you have a big range but i think u should see Nissan or Mazda.
