Vacation Fast Food

My family and I are going on a 3 week vacation this summer. 3 weeks is a lot of eating out. How can I eat healthy and maintain my weight over the holiday without a scale? (do not tell me just to enjoy myself im looking for an answer! thx ;D)

Answer #1

My favorite fast food chain is Chipotle Mexican Grill. Good healthy food with no additives, hormones, etc. The thing to remember is that their monster burritos can top 1,000 kcal so if you ware watching your calories you might need to make it into 2 meals.

I also like Wendy’s. here I usually order two side salads and a dry baked potato. Not the most exciting meal but it is healthy and takes care of your hunger for a while. Watch the salad dressing. Too much and you salad can end up with more fat than a hamburger. I just use a little.

Burger King has the BK Veggie in most locations. If you order it with mustard instead of mayo and don’t eat many fries it isn’t too unhealthy a meal.

Taco Bell has a new Fresco menu with lower fat and calorie selections.

At Subway a Veggie Delight without cheese and mustard instead of oil or dressing is quite tasty and healthy as well.

Whole wheat bagels are good choices as well.
