What happens if you're a registered organ donor?
i see on ppls licenses as organ donor is that where they give like kidney if someone needs it? and when exactly do u become organ donor when a person dies?
When you register as an organ donor, you’re giving rights for your usable body parts to be given to someone who needs a transplant after you die.
It’s a wonderful thing to do in my opinion. Your last chance to help someone. I used to work with a guy who had a heart transplant from a 19 yr old killed on a motorcycle. Somehow he found the young man’s parents and thanked them in person. (next of kin has to give permission, so it’s important for donors to let our loved ones know our wishes)
