True it’s not exactly something people like reading, but it’s life. You have to be careful and alert at all times. If a guy ever tried something like that with me I’d beat his fcking as. The second his hand came for me, it’d be broke. Some helpful advice if you feel scared is don’t walk by yourself when it’s dark, always have someone with you, carry mace or a small, travel sized bottle of body spray with you in your pocket. If someone trys to come at you, spray them straight in the eyes. Learn to fight and stand up for yourself. If you feel threatened, yell/scream, hit, smack, slap, punch, kick, bite.. ANYTHING to get them away from you. You might even want to carry a whistle with you or something like that… anything to scare the attacker off.

Look, no matter where you are or how strong a fighter you are or what weapons you bring, you can still be raped. I was raped by a very close friend under a bridge near my house. And it’s not like I wanted it. Everything happens so quickly, your brain can’t register what’s going on, so it sends adrenaline through your body and that can send you into a shock, disabling you from whistling or using spray/mace. And a lot of rapes take place in secluded areas toward night time, so screaming for help is usually out of the question. a7x mentioned things that they teach you in school to keep people away from you. They don’t teach you the bodily reaction that comes with a rape confrontation. Your best bet is, actually, stay in a large group as it gets closer to dusk, and stay in well lit, busy areas. Even then, rape can still happen. I honestly think that all convicted rape offenders deserve the death penalty. Anyway, that’s my advice. Hope it helps. ~Bria

Very good tips a7x… way to look out for others and try to give them advice on how to protect themselves. The body spray or mace is a GREAT idea.
