Do you think this is an unfair way of operating a school?

I’ve been suspended for one day in Feb. And now it’s May and I have been suspended for two days (this thursday and friday). For disruptive behavior.

The rules are starting Thrusday if you get written up and sent to the office you are going home for 10 days, and when you come back another 10 days until the school year is over. And if you get suspended on Thrusday or any day after that you are not allowed to go to any of the remaining field trips.

I didn’t want to go to Zoom Beezy Bay with teachers, or to Fantastic Friday or To a baseball. Three things I hate swimming, science and sports.

This was started after the OAAs they said no more warnings, no nothing. Anything and you’re out. To the entire school not just me

It is unfair. But, the only thing you can do is be on your best behaviour.

Though they are most likely lying to get you all to act nice, since they know students get rowdy towards the end of the school year.

Answer #2

You know I managed not to get suspended my entire high school years. My friends managed not to get suspended. It is possible to not get suspended. See the point of suspension is to teach the person a lesson. Now since suspensions don’t mean much anymore, they are punishing people in other ways. Very smart and apparently very effective. Good for whoever came up with this. As for you, quit whining (not that I even understand what you’re whining about, I thought you didn’t want to go on the field trips?). In the real world, ‘disruptive behavior’ gets you fired, arrested, or sued. They’re simply trying to teach people a lesson for the future. Although really it seems like they’re wasting their time, some people just need to learn things the hard way.

i thinks its not fair, but then again it will make kids be on their better behavior and to mind themselves. as far as you know it might not stick and its a way to scare kids into listening.

Answer #4

The thing is we do listen, it’s just they want to suspend us. As crazy as it sounds for the smallest reasons. My school is really disgusting and twisted. Because two 8th graders had “s“ in the bathroom and were only suspended for 10 days. I thought if you did anything sual you would be expelled nope. ten days later they were back.

Answer #5

idk your school that well but our school we got a warning, detention, in school suspension and outside suspension last resort. i got along really well with my principle, so if i got kicked out of class and she tried to send me to iss, i would fake cry so she would send me home, cuz i really did do my work at home when i was suspended idk how many projects i was dumed on i finished at home while being suspended.

Answer #6

I don’t know about fair and unfair but I think its not right way to run a school. Where I went to school; u’d get suspended( + a fine) only if u did something extremely wrong and get restricted( no more school) if u repeated the wrong.

If we had the school suspending students for minor mischief like disruptive behavior we’d be happy and all want to get suspended and go home. But this is coming from a perspective of someone who went to a different kind of school in different country where minor mischief like urs would mean a good smacking and no more mischief.
