How can you love something you don't understand, know, or even have proof it actually exists?

It’s all about faith maybe? I mean we don’t have proof god exists but we still believe in him because in my opinion, everyone has this little part in them that believe when everything goes bad, god will help them. We believe because we need someone to look up to, turn to when in need, and just thank when something good happens? We believe because that’s what we were taught from our childhood- to believe and have faith.. Im sorry if I answered this question all weirdly…

Jesus said, It will be said to you let me see and I shall believe, BUT I SAY UNTO YOU, blessed are those who have not seen and yet still believe and this is called faith and you shall be saved for whoever believe in me shall have everlasting life. (I mixed matched verses alittle sorry)

The trick is believing - against better knowledge if you must.

I absolutely love Unicorns. Especially the pink, invisible unicorns that feed on the dew on my front lawn. I love them. Even though I have no proof of their existence. Even though I do not understand how they can live on dew only. Even though I never saw one. I love them. They are great. They can be pink AND invisible at the same time. And that alone should prove that they are divine. Call me insane. You are welcome to call me insane. But I love the pink, invisible unicorns.

Yes, I can never know for sure that Unicorns do exist. But then Eris - praise her golden apple corps - has never given the world any word in her holy scripture that unicorns do not exist. So it would be logical that they are, in fact, real.

Technically, people who dont even follow jesus will still have everlasting life in the kingdom of heaven. Youre basing your knowledge on post vatican II stuff.

its not about going to heaven or somewhere else. its about having faith, and seeing and being thankful for the small yet major things youve seen in your life and been given. i totally agree with Janice, in my opinion, god Himself has many incarnations. i think there is one god whom we all believe in but see in different forms, be it Jesus, Shiva, or other gods, they are all similar arent they?

ok i have a question for you… do you see the wind? NO you will answer. however do you feel it? yes, of course. same with God! and saying there is no proof for his existence? i guess you are not a person who appreciates…have you looked around yourself? forget that! look at your own self! everything is perfection on our bodies! nothing is nonfunctional! everything falls to its place…. look at the sea! how many fishes!!!! you have to look at the big picture! how great this world is ….is the world is so perfect …how unimaginable is god power and will! he feeds you and clothes you…not your parents….he allows your parents to clothe you …to feed you….

you should really open your eyes…and appreciate the undeniable beauty of His creation!
