Trying to conceive, please help!

My Fiance and I are trying to get pregnant. My last period started on August 12th and according to this online calculator I took, I ovulated on the 26th of this month. I got the “one sided” ovulation pain that day and everything. It’s now the 31st and my boobs started getting really sore yesterday. My period is supposed to start in 9 days. Does anyone know any information on what my chances of becoming pregnant are? And when I could take a pregnancy test and which ones are the most accurate. I don’t plan on taking an early pregnancy test because I’ve heard bad things about them.

I used First Response- it gave a correct positive reading when I was only 4 weeks pregnant- that means that I had conceived 2 weeks earlier… They’re all pretty accurate nowadays though. If you had sex the day you ovulated, or the day after they’re pretty good. Remember- the egg stays in there for about three days. GOOD LUCK to you and your fiance! Babies are a blessing- even after all of the work, lol.

First Response you can take up to 5 days Before you’re missed period. All the rest of them you have to wait till you miss your period.

First Response is a good brand, so is Clear view. Those are the two that I used and they were always accurate. Breast tenderness could be because you’re pregnant but then it could also be because you’ll be getting your period soon. Trying to get pregnant sometimes takes awhile so try not to get discouraged if you’re not.

And remember the only way to know your ovulating is to take a test. Online calenders are rough guesstimates not actual fact. You can ovulate at any time. I hope you get good news!

Just keep having sex as much as possible…and know that certain birth controls can really impede your progress of getting pregnant (especially if you were on the depo)…and don’t get discouraged!!
