Not that I know much about wearing fishnets, but I think it depends how you combine it and how the shorts will look.
the shorts are about mid thigh legnth and use to be a pair of old jeans. id wear the fishnet stocking underneath and put on my boots that go just above my ankle

It really does depend on how you pull it off and what else you wear the outfit with. Personally, when I wear fishnets I wear low denier (thin) black pantyhose underneath just so that it doesn’t look so… yeah, trashy.
