Too "preppy"?

It’s non-uniform at my school tomorrow. I have a pink sweater, a black vest top and some pearls. I was going to wear it with my black skirt and long socks but I’m worried it’s “too girly”. Although outside of school I dress mostly like this I never wear skirts to school and everyone at school see’s me as a scary goth girl. I don’t want them to think I’m trying to fit in. I like my outsiderness. Should I just wear something else?

preppy, emo, goth, scene, or whatever is just a style. it doesn’t explain who you are. so you shouldn’t be worried about what other people think. it’s all about your additude & who you are. It’s not all about what style your going to dress for school, and if someone judges you as a preppy kid, well then just tell them to f*ck off haha

dress any way you want. I wear baggy boy clothes to my school every day, and my friends made me wear their clothes for a few days, everyone thought it looked good. they didn’t think I was trying to be someone else, they thought I was just giving girl clothes a try. just tell them you’re giving these clothes a try to see what you like better. hope this makes sense!!!:)

No! wear the outfit. I used to, and sometimes still have the same dilemma. I was always a laid-back dresser, jeans and tees. Then I started liking heels and skirts. I didnt want people to think I was trying to fit in either, but I really wanted to wear the cute outfits. The first time I came to school like that, I got more compliments than anything. No one even thought I was trying to fit in. If people do say that, you know its just some stupid drama for some jealous person to start. But I think youll be fine, and just because your dressing different doesnt mean your leaving your normal style..you can always flip-flop. Thats the fun of it! If you never change it up or take any risks, how will you know what you really like? You cant decide what you truely like unless you try something else. How boring is it to never change a thing?
