How much time should be in-between each meal?

Answer #1

Eat when you’re hungry. So I’d say a couple hours…maybe 4 or 5?

Answer #2

You’re suppose to eat every 3 hours, but not a meal every 3 hours. Just eat a meal then 3 hours passes and eat something else then a meal then something else or whatever you want just it increases your metabolism if you eat every 3 hours. So I heard.

Answer #3

That’s a lot of eating if you’re up for 16 hours a day :|

Answer #4

eat whenever you get hungry…. so thats about like connor said every 3-5 hours :)

Answer #5

So if I wake up at 6:30 , and had breakfast , then at 9:30 have a snack , then at 12:30 have lunch , then at 3:30 have a snack , then at 5:30 have supper ? Because I hear you’re not supposed to eat 6 hours before you go to sleep.

Answer #6

That’d be good. And it’s not like your body has a set time to eat certain things anyway, different people’s bodies react to different foods in different ways. So even though you are suppose to eat every 3 hours or 6 hours before bed, it’s not going to make a huge change.

Answer #7

And it’s not a lot of eating if you were to just eat a couple almonds or dried fruit.

Answer #8

Scientifically, to keep the metabolism in a positive state, you should eat every 2-3 hours depending on how fast you can digest food. Most people who weight-lift eat 2-3 hours, which is about 5-8 meals a day. This is partly because people who weight-lift must support their bodies and eating 3,000 + calories is common, so meals are broken up into 300-800 calorie meals.

Of course as Connor said, eat when you’re hungry, but don’t go 5-6 hours without eating just because you don’t feel hungry. You may not feel hungry, but the body is hungry and should be constantly fed calories for energy and to maintain metabolism speeds.

Answer #9

depends how long you are awake for. im up at 9 am usually and go to sleep at around 11pm. and i eat 5 meals a day. not full meals, small ones to keep you energized throughout the day.

Answer #10

the time doesn’t matter much as long as you don’t starve yourself. usually meal times are separate by 6 hours (6 a.m. 12 p.m. 6.pm etc..), but you could get hungry, so eat a little snack in between meals.
