Tighting of braces

Ok so I have been dealing with the orthodontists and dentists for a feew months now and have gone through other things that have made my teeth move so I knew what to expect…however I am pretty good with pain but this is killing me!!! Almost to the point where I want to give up and have them taken off… And I really seriously dont give up like that so…I was wondering what helps the pain the most? And on average how much do you have to get them tightned…I know that its usually every 1-3 months but whats the truth really? And getting them tightned does the pain ever get better or does it feel this bed every single time?

I had braces on my top and bottom teeth for a couple of years in middle school, and I know what you mean. The pain is pretty bad!! It’s been so long ago, I really can’t remember all the details, but tightening the braces every 1 to 3 months sounds about right. I think I just took Tylenol or Advil for the pain because that’s all they would give me. If you can’t stand the pain, ask your orthodontist for something a little stronger. The pain does lessen over time, though. You’ll be alright and just think of that dazzling smile you’ll have when it’s all over!
