My throat hurts when I nod?

Not my neck, my THROAT. Ok I’ve been sick since monday with sore throat although it went away the next day so I had a bit of mucus or whatever left so a few minutes ago I was laying down with my head propped up on a pillow so my head was higher than my body an the dumb mucus or whatever kept getting caught in my throat so I kept clearing it and you know when you’d wallow something but you swallow it back up like you swallow something but you decide to not swallow it? Well I was doing that a lot and I sat up and my THROAT hurts! It hurts when I swallow, when I nod, when I talk and the mucus is still there. What the flick did I do to my throat??? I’m scared

Maybe some infection? Hmm.. have you tried gargling salt water? Usually that helps. Or maybe some honey cough drops. To sooth the irritation. I think that’s what it is- Irritated. Then again, I am no doctor so.. don’t take my advice too seriously. Just a suggestion.
