The Pumpkin Roll

So my town has this tradition where upperclassmen steal pumpkins about 3-4 weeks ahead of Halloween. Then on a random night we all go and smash them in the road on this big hill in town. Then people slide down in the pumpkin guts in recycling bins and sleds and stuff. I’m not into spirited things, but this is my best friends last year of high school and she said it was fun last year. She wants me to go, should I? I’ve been trying to be sober but being a bubble town, everyone’s going to be hammered and going to parties.

First - stealing? No - I don’t think so. If you want to have fun, do it legally.

Second - smashing pumpkins on the road makes it slippery and dangerous. Unless you want to be responsible for someone’s car accident, I honestly don’t think it’s a good idea…and don’t tell me it’s never happened - there’s a first time for everything.
