The eventuality for the date of December 21, 2012

The majority of the people I discuss this question with stand strong in the belief that something religious is going to take place on December 21, 2012. Myself, I’m not so sure, yet I seem to stay fascinated about others optimisms towards the subject, and even their apprehensions. What do you think will possibly transpire on the date of December 21, 2012?

One thing that will happen is my youngest daughter will be one year older on that day, beyond that, I have no idea. The bible tells us that change is going to take place, and we see it all around us, however, it also tells us that no one knows the day or the hour of Christs return, so, be assured, that is not the event that is going to happen, if anything does.

The lining up of the sun with what? There’s no special “planetary alignment” at that date.

even if the world does end, there’s nothing we can do about it. But some things do make sense about something happening on the date. things like the lining up of the sun and 13th zodiac about 11,000 years ago (it happens about every 11,000 years) and there are other signs.

As a Christian I study on the last days - what stands out from that perspective, my understanding, after the rise of the antichrist (which hasn’t occurred yet) - Jesus returns after 7 years of tribulation - so even if we counted from today 2009, that would put the 2nd coming at 2016…so from that perspective it doesn’t add up.
