I'm having trouble with Face powder. I apply it, it flakes and its so gross! Like my face is molting! I have big events coming up and if people sit close to me or talk (close to my face for whatever reason) I'd really rather not have them see my mask!

I’m what kind of powder you’re using currently that flakes – so I know to not buy it! lol. I use loose powder all the time because my skin is crazy oily – without it, I look like a giant grease ball. Try using Mattify Ultra Powder from Mattify Cosmetics before and after your foundation – it’s the very best face powder I’ve ever used. It’s clear and works like a primer and setting powder, to give you an airy poreless look. If your face is peeling, from having dry skin, use an exfoliating scrub every morning and night. Within a couple of days, your skin should be smoother and there will be fewer flakes. I saw that a few people mentioned Cornsilk Powder, that one works pretty good too. Sometimes I use it along with the Mattify Powder. Definitely, I would not suggest mineral makeup (like bare escentuals) because it accentuates flaws and makes skin look oilier.

I use bare minerals by bare essentials. that stuff is amazing.if that's too expensive, I also like to use a loose poweder by cornsilk. I use it on top of my foundation and concealer to set my makeup. it's translucent...and works really well.also...it sounds like you need to just use a good mask tonight to slough off the peeliness of your skin. and drink more water, of course :)
sally hanson transluscent cornsilk works best for me. I have dry skin and my daughter has oily skin and we both use it. most of the stores we shop at have discontinued selling it. does anyone know who still carries it??
the sally hanson cornsilk formula reallly does work, and so does CoverGirl true blend whipped foundation. good luck.
please use mineral makeup, you will be sooo glad you did. Its the nicest blending makeup you will ever have.
try putting on moisturizer before putting on face powder.
or try a liquid they work good too.
Nix the powder. Stick with a decent foundation like Covergirl True Blend Whipped Foundation
