How do I temporarily stop my wisdom teeth from hurting?

Answer #1

Take a Ibuprofen. How else? Or you can go see a dentist & eliminate the problem.

Answer #2

Chew on ice, maybe put orajel on it

Answer #3

Chewing on ice is an alright temporary fix. I was doing that a few months ago when mine hurt.

Answer #4

Then I suggest the orajel, or like Mr Bluedevil suggested ibuprophen and or tylenol

Answer #5

i have chewed on ice, i have taken ibuprofen, i have ice water right now, i have also tried orajel… and the orajel will work for bout ten minutes. the thing is that they are impacted and it really hurts cuz they are growing in at the very very very bad of my bottom jaw where there is very little room for them. i would be oka if it was just the one onthe bottom but it is the both and my mother is being lazy and is waiting to see if i get better to take me to a desnist because they cant do anything really they have told me i have to go like an hour away and make an appointment with an oral surgan and mom doesnt want to

Answer #6

If your wisdom teeth are bothering you, basically the dentist will examine it, and their conclusion will be something like, a pill or something to stop the pain, unless it’s a worse sight, then you may have to get them taken out. Best I can give ya~

Answer #7

bad mom, bad, bad mom.. . Well then, you need a stronger dose of aspirin. 500mgs & up! & no I am not a doctor. .

Answer #8

yea i know bad mom…-sighs- ive been trying to take ibuprofen so much so as to tht im carrieing it around school with me right now and been takinfg like 4 200mgs and it dont do sh!t, but it is helping bring down fevers from my current throat and ear infections

Answer #9

WOW! You are in bad shape. I’m sorry to hear that. You should let the Ibuprofen wear off & get a stronger dosage of something else. Even though that is only a temporary fix. You need to see a real dentist.

Answer #10

Tuck a whole clove (the dark, bittersweet spice) between your wisdom tooth and your cheek and just let it stay there awhile. It will numb all or most of the pain. If too much of the pain persists, do the same thing with an aspirin tablet. But those measures are, as you said, only temporary.

Answer #11

thx im gonna have to stick to ibuprofen though … it is the only pain killer that helps with swelling and i will have to put up with the pain until monday at like 1 because tht is when my appointment is.

Answer #12

where so i find whole clove? i have clove oil but it only lasts for bout ten min and i try to use it as little as possible because it taste nastier then hell
