I’ve chipped 2 teeth on mine… just back ones, and not badly I dont play with the bar, it just happened when I was eating

.. you just have to make sure you put a short bar in when it stops swelling!

Answer #3

they are defenently not bad for your teeth as long as you dont constantly rub your teet. I have had mine for over a year and no teeth problems. so tell your mom its fine

I’ve had my tongue pierced for the last 6 years and its not that bad. I got it done when I was 16. Yeah there is a chance that you might can chip a tooth or something, but it really isnt that bad. I havent though. Almost every female in my family has it done and nothing has happened to them either. Once you get used to it being there you forget all about it. So I dont think that there is anything wrong with it. I dont know if you will be able to convince her. But if she wont give all I can say is just wait until your 18 to get it done that way she cant sayin anything about it cause you will be grown. I dont know just something to think about.

Most mothers don’t want you to get your tongue pierced because of its skank-factor. Tongue rings came back into popularity because they help with fellatio which is usually why people will get it. When I know someone has one its not really a redeeming quality.

And yes, metal bars will chip teeth, my first lip ring chipped off a very small section of my tooth within 6 months of getting it even though its really only noticeable to me. Also metal bars in your mouth rub away enamel and make your teeth more sensitive.

I have had my tounge piercing for 12 years. got it when I was 15 and now in 27. I have yet to chip anything. I’ve always worn a metal bar bell. I actually at one point had two piercings in my tounge at one time and still never hurt anything. I dont know how you can convince her but I would say your safe. maybe you could tell her that a tounge piercing is one of the more consevaztive piercings cause most people wont even know its there. its not like piercing your lip or eyebrow where everyone can see it and leaves a scar when you take it out. I love my tounge and plan to be 80 years old and still have it lol

Answer #7

I’ve had my tongue pierced for 8yrs, and never chipped a tooth. like someone said after awhile you 4get its even there. of course there is a chance that it could happen, you just have to b carefull.

Answer #8

I’ve had mine for 4 years and my teeth are fine. People chip their teeth when they play with their bar a lot. It won’t happen if you have a plastic one. :) But I’ve always worn metal and my teeth are good.
