Teaching !

I’m 14 but I have known for a long time that I want to teach ! What do I need to “do well” in in order to become a teacher ?

I’m a teacher myself, and it requires (here anyway) enough point to do an arts degree, which takes 3 to 4 years depending on where you do it, where you pick two subjects for your final years. Then you have to do the Postgraduate Diploma in Education for one year to get your teaching qualification. Tough but worth it.

well it depends on what subject you want to teach and of course what age group you want to teach… you need to do well in life orientation (if you still have that as a subject at school), english or afrikaans, what ever language you will be teaching in and of course the subject filed you wish to teach

I guess just bieng able to put up with kids. well what grade are you trying to teach? my uncle teaches 3rd grade and he says the thing he has to do best, is trying to be as nice as possible to the kids. I guess it depends on what grade you teach
