Does anyone here have a tattoo done with white ink?

Or know someone who does?

Answer #1

The tattoo I got back in 1986 (military) had some white ink in it. The white ink faded really quick, and I had to get it fixed (with different colors) while the rest of the colors still look good today. They could have better ink now, but I wouldn’t count on it.

Answer #2

when it faded, did it completely disappear? or could you still see it if you looked, but it wasn’t like, obvious?

Answer #3

I had some white ink in my feathers but it faded into my skin tone. It only took a few months.

Answer #4

Well the white part just went away seems like within a month and just left bare skin bare skin. The artist fixed it for me with different colors. Are you wanting or trying to get rid of something?

Answer #5

I have never wanted a big obvious tattoo that the world could easily see… but i have always wanted something that i would know is there, that i could see, and that i could show people if i wanted. a few years ago i heard of blacklight tattoos and liked the concept, but it kinda sucks because im not going to carry a blacklight whenever i want to see it… i know they have white ink and im pretty pale so i was thinking of getting words or a small symbol on my wrist in white. Obviously im not pure, like paper white, so i thought it would show up but not be too obvious. its kinda disappointing to hear how quickly it completely disappears though :/

Answer #6

some kind of bleach , if you remove melanocytes in that area then it will remain white

Answer #7

Can any of you suggest a color that would be subtle but would not disappear like white? I only ask because if you have various colors in a tattoo maybe you could give me some ideas

Answer #8

tattoo artest dont normaly do tattoos in white mostly black and grey, i wanna be a tattoo artest.

Answer #9

well i know it is abnormal, but you can get just about anything for a price, right?

Answer #10

I do, white ink is amazing. The only thing is you might have to go back & get the white ink touched up but all the same it looks gorgeous !

Answer #11

really? :) how often do you have to get it touched up? and was it a lot more expensive for white ink?

Answer #12

Well mine has black, green, orange, red, yellow and blue and they all have stayed for 26 years. Only the white faded very quickly.
