What are the symptoms of too much exercise?

I have been jogging for the past two weeks again, after a resting period. Also I have a scared and destructive dog which I HAVE TO take out for a walk everyday, so I opt for running with her,but the past two days I’ve been feeling depressed and tired etc, with no reason for it. Do you guys think it’s too much?

Answer #1

I doubt its caused by too much exercise as generally exercise makes us feel more energetic. Perhaps you caught a bit of a cold or bug? Or are low on a vitamin? Try adding a little extra B12 to your diet, it will perk you up a bit (An egg and steak (as rare as possible) dinner is a great way to natural perk up your B12 levels.

Answer #2

I am eating healthy and getting enough vitamin B (I take a supplement because I have always had a problem absorbing it). I read that you can overtrain and I’ve been jogging almost everyday for 14 days straight. So was just wondering. But thank you for your answer. I appreciate it.

Answer #3

Oh and I can’t eat eggs and hate steak.lol. but thank you.

Answer #4

Well… it more or less depends on how much that you are eating too, if you’re burning off way more calories than you’re taking in then i would say that it is highly likely that’s why you are feeling so down and tired. If you’ve only been feeling like this for the past couple of weeks then it is probably too much exercise. I’d go to the doctor anyway just as a precautionary measure and he might do some blood tests to check there is no other problem. My advice to you would be that if you’re lifestyle is very hectic atm then do try to drink more energy drinks and food with a higher calorie content for energy. Hope that helps.

Answer #5

I have Pernicious anemia so can’t absorb B12, so have to take a supplement too (I use to have to take a monthly shot, so was super happy to get changed to pills). I hope you feel better soon!

Answer #6

What I also find strange is that I’m not losing weight anymore. I used to lose around a kg a week and now just nothing, however I still have about 5 kg’s to go because I would like my BMI to be around 22 instead of 24.

Answer #7

If you really need to tire your dog out and want to cut back a bit on how much time you spend, try bike riding with her. I got a special bike bar for my dogs and ride with them several times a week to help keep them in shape and calm. It cuts the time I take to exercise them in half and tires them out great and they love it.

Answer #8

I’m a bit scared of that because she gets totally and utterly freaked out when anyone walks past or when a car goes by, also I have to literally drag her (and I mean drag her) just to start walking with her. It’s only been a few days though, hopefully she’ll get better. I might actually take her swimming tomorrow, she loves water, so will just tie her up on her leash and take her into the pool….Thanks.

Answer #9

Okay, yeah there might be something wrong with your thyroid gland so i’d go and see your doctor…

Answer #10

My thyroid is fine. It’s just been like this for the last two weeks or so.

Answer #11

what scared her? :(

Answer #12

Everything scared her. We believe she was taken from her mother too soon. She hid behind the washing machine the first week we had her. Also she is used to us now, but it took a while, now I’m doing the whole walking thing.

If you begin to experience rashes on your hairline, large tumors under your eyelids, and severe headaches, you may have a problem. The easiest solution is to eat a bunch of food and sleep all the time, but naps are dangerous. Some people injure themselves while napping. I personally have experience with sleep walking and almost dieing. When I was twelve years old I slept walked while staying in a 50 story hotel in New York. I thought I was diving into a thousand foot deep pool of jello, but really I was diving off the top of the empire state building. Luckily Spiderman was swinging by at just that moment to save me. Hope that helps!! :)

Answer #15

too much exercise will have these symptoms : muscle pain soreness headaches longer sleep periods shortened endurance

in the worst cases : stretching or contraction of tendons (causes immobility) fainting (can hit ur head and get a concussion) asphyxia ruptures of the tendons and in the very worst case the muscles themselves….

I run cross country and after the seasons over it takes a while to get back into the rhythm. I wouldn’t say you’re over exercising, your just finding your groove.
