Is the swine flu curable What are the symptoms How do we prevent ourselvels from getting it. And do you think this will be an epedemic.? Also my friends going to NYC do you think he’ll bring it back to his hometown.? I’m really worried..!

First, the H1N1 strain of the flu that everyone has been talking about lately is not technically swine flu. It’s similar to previously known swine flu strains but has never once been found in an actual piggy. Second, it’s important to remember that while H1N1 is highly contagious and is occasionally fatal (about 1 in every 1,000 people, by current estimates), so is the regular flu. H1N1 is simply a flu, nothing more or less, so even if you DID contract it, it would likely just mean a few days out of school and lots of fluids to stave off dehydration. Nothing to worry about there, hm?
