Why is it that you can get suspended from school for being the victim of a fight when you didn't do anything in the first place?

i know i didnt even do anything and this guy starts hitting me and i then punch him in the face and his face starts to swell and then he goes and tells the principal conveinently leaving out his part in it

school is stupid when it comes to rules like that if you even attempt to hit back bam ur suspended it has to do with some stupid policy honestly in my opnion as long as it dont happen often and no one pulled a weapon then alll u gatta do is breakum apart and walk away

You punched him back, therefore…you participated in the fight and should have been suspended…and so should he.

If you hit them back…then it is two wrongs don’t make a right. Which is true. If he hit you, and you didn’t hit him back…then he would have been suspended. If you both hit each other…you both get suspended.

Im very sorry about something like that.Loosing your parents is absolutely horrible.Maybe you could try and talk to your guidance counselor to make sure no more bullying goes on.And I believe the school is wrong.I wouldn’t act like a wimp and let them beat the sh!t out of me.

i was in the exact same problem. me and this other girl got into a fist fight, i didnt throw the first punch but i hit back so i also got suspended. you get suspended too because you were involved in the fight and they are going to think you did something to the person to set them off to make them want to hit you.

actully in some schools now kids get suspended weather they fight back or not for heliping in disruption of the school no matter what they belive first hit gave the other guy some reson to hit him ex. teasing bulling ectra
