Why are suicide questions locked?

yeah Dude your definetly right on this one. Never thought of it that way. People saying “go kill yourself” is a frightning thing to say to anyone never mind someone whos contemplating it.

thedude is right. plus I hate looking at suicide questions. talk about scary! enjoy life, people! kill urself and youll regret it. youll wind up in a very bad place. :(

yes. I don’t understand this website, I find it kind of stupid that they lock certain questions that people obvisouly need answers to.

daniellee, what would you recommend? Obviously, we’re not qualified medical professionals, so we can’t give them couseling. And, we don’t know if they are serious or not.

And, last but not least, we have had SEVARAL instances of people saying “go kill yourself” as an answer to a question about suicide.

Do you think that’s a better situation than locking it??? I’m confused, enlighten me.

Because we’re not qualified medical professionals who are equipped to help with that sort of thing. So, we recommend they get professional help and lock the question so that less kind individuals don’t say anything malicious (as it’s happened before).
