Straight up quitting?

How wrong is it to straight up quit at a job, no matter how terrible the people are here? I’m missing out on many opportunities even though they guaranteed work wouldn’t interfere with sports or school and such. How bad will it look on my part? And its not like I’m the first one..5 people straight up quit in the past two months.

Answer #1

It doesn’t look to good, well on a resume anyways. I would give at least one week notice.

Answer #2

Two weeks notice is standard practice. It’s a respectful gesture.

Regardless of what others have done when they quit, you want to do it right.

They will probably let you go early, but at least you know you ended on good terms………….always end on good terms because your next job WILL contact your previous employer.

Answer #3

thanks!

Answer #4

thankyou!

Answer #5

You’re quite welcome…………….hang in there…..better things are ahead.

Answer #6

See if things can be changed before you leave. Sometimes, if they really care and need you, they will figure out. Doesn’t hurt to be respectful and do your part. The rest is easy.

Answer #7

Agree with onemandog, put in your 2 weeks notice and still be a good worker. As he said, always end on good terms because you will need them as a reference for future jobs.
