This wierd thing Zentom syste guard keep trying to getme to run it through my compter and it eve made it's own shortcut on my desktop how can i get rid of it or block it? the only thing ive recently downloaded was open officend i looked up if it dwnloade things and everyone said no, i deleted the shortcut thing but it wont let me exit out the browser for it PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Zentom is malware that masquerades as anti-malware software. It will constantly complain that your computer has been compromised then offer to fix the problem if you pay to upgrade to their professional version. I got infected by a similar program called Spy Axe. I mistakenly installed this program thinking I was installing a missing Windows Media Player codec then it took over my machine. Norton, McAfee, Trend, and Spybot Search & Destory all failed to remove this malware. It was very tedious but eventually I was able to remove it by hand but a few times I almost gave up and just wiped the disk to install a clean system. My guess is that you downloaded an infected version of Open Office. Did you get your software from their official site? If not that is probably your problem. Otherwise you may have been tricked into installing it was a missing codec, Java update, etc.
Hm... What is the name of the program that is popping up? or the name of the scan? I suggest you run an anti-virus program just to be safe.
does that mean i should delet the open office? and yes i did get it from the official site and how long does it take to get rid of?
