Staying with him for my son

I Had my son when I was only 15 I am 26 now an have stayed with his dad off an on the entire time I reall why am not happy in this relationship but the last time I separated my son went in to a depression an started failing in school cause his dad would not visit him or even talk to him on the phone. I really want my son to be happy but I am tired of feeling life less an alone. what should I do ?

There’s not much you can do about him being a bad father. My advice is to sit down and talk to his father for a good long while and REALLY get his attention on how you feel. I mean you can not make someone be something they don’t want to be.

My wife recently thought about leaving me but I know if she would have I doubt I could’ve stayed around because it would have been too painful to see her and hear about her from my young children. He might be going through the same thing.
