When can I start feeding my new born kittens?
and how long do they take till they open there eyes i believe their 5 days..?
New born kittens feed off their mothers. If they’re mother isn’t around, you need to bottle feed them. Sometimes the mother doesn’t feed them properly and they will eventually die. If she isnt, bottle feed them. Until the kittens are at least four weeks old, you can make them drink milk in a normal bowl. When they are 5-6 weeks it’s alright for them to eat dry food. Different cats open their eyes at different times. Each kitten will open it’s eyes at a different time. It can take from five day to two weeks.
I’ve heard that you can give kittens regualar kitten food but put a little milk on it and let it get soggy but I’ve never actually tried it… I think its 1-2 weeks till there eyes open. Hope this helps! - Katie ;D
