How to stand up for myself?
It feels as if i’m getting bullied alot and don’t realize it, i’m really nice to everyone and respect people but i wish i had the guts to stand up for myself so rude people would just leave me alone. How can i do this? Sometimes i get caught off guard too and get afraid to defend myself
just start by starting is all i can say.. say no to people when they ask u a favor you dont want to do. Tell the rude people to stop being rude, idk you just have to start not caring what people think about you because you CANT make everyone happy aall the time , sometimes its about YOU. but hey, sometimes i wish i was nicer. lol
Just something you have work at. I have a friend who EVERYONE walks over, and has been trying to be assertive for years now. She is a bit more, but its just something you slowly work at. Its not going to be BAM! over night you are a very assertive person (well not usually ne ways). She says she just keeps in the back of her head at all times “have to remember I can say NO if i don’t want to do this. Can’t let people walk all over me”. And slowly she is getting more of a backbone.
