Why is there no sound coming out on my HP Pavilion Dv6's speakers?

Yes the volume is on. I see the little thing going up and down and I have it set on “Speakers and Headphones”. Does anyone have a clue what’s wrong with it?

Answer #1

Well…. it could be busted…. or you have a volume slider at the side of the laptop….

Answer #2

restart whatever you have it plugged into, if its a computer change the default audio to the correct ones.

Answer #3

Ah, there could be several issues (I use to have one of the Pavilion laptops) that said - you could have the sound on mute, you could need to download a bit of software, and/or something might be broken or disconnected. I suggest troubleshooting the issue and attempting the suggested solutions before anything else.

Answer #4

I downloaded the extra software a while ago and still nothing also I’ve ran the troubleshoot and it says everything is fine. So unfortunetly as I also thought, there must be something wrong with the hardware. Thanks for confirming my suspicions :)

Open Device Manager and search for the drivers online.

If you are unable to do so then i would suggest to take help of a software that will search for the drivers online.

Visit http://funadvice.com/r/c0bmm6tedgj for free scan online. Its a good tool that will retrieve a list if is their missing or outdated drivers in your PC.

If still problem occurs then try fixing windows registry.
