Sleep deprived

My wife has been sleeping in a lazyboy for 6 weeks with our new born.how do we make that transition back into our bed with or without baby?

Good call. Make sure to support your wife and do all you can to help her. The bassinet in your bedroom is a good starting point. Don’t expect her to be ready to have sex with you just yet. Do your part, be there emotionally (whether you really are or not), and she will come around.

my husband and I made the mistake of placing my premie baby in our bed and now he does not want to sleep in the crib. You wife is doing kind of the same thing by sleeping with the baby. I agree with the other that you need to try to get the baby in the basinet or crib. I am doing just that right now and it seems to be working good for the age that my baby is right now (ten months).

One way is to put a bassinet beside the lazy-boy for a bit, and gradually have her be slower to respond to the baby. And Hottie is right. Do Not let the baby get used to sleeping with you two. You and your wife need to be able to be free to reconnect as a married couple. And no doubt the baby will not like the bassinet at first, and will fuss. Let him/her do it. It’s all part of maturing. Been there.
