You can’t completely prevent sleepwalking, but you can do certain things to make it less likely that you will sleep walk. Try not to eat before you sleep, meals should be eaten at least 2 hours before you go to sleep. Avoid drinking alcohol, it apparently can cause sleepwalking. If you are stressed out, you are more likely to sleepwalk so if you are stressed you can do some soothing excersize. And lastly, keep a sleep schedule, meaning, try to go to sleep at the same time every night so that your body can get used to the times it sleeps.
