What is the first size I should get if I want gauges?

and how do the sizes work??

Answer #1

from the smallest (20) to biggest(00) so the smaller the number the bigger the gauge is. 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 0, 00 are the sizes, so start with a 20. Make sure you really want this though because once you get bigger and bigger your ears need to go under surgery to get them back to normal..well kind of normal.

Answer #2

most people start with 16s. I know some people who even started with 10s.

Answer #3

I had 00g and my ear went back to normal in less than a week. I can’t even put a normal earring through the hole because it’s completely closed. I know, this isn’t normal, I am lucky. But it can happen.

Answer #4

yes it can happen but for the most part a persons ear is not that elastic lol. Thats why women get stretch marks from pregnancy, but ofcourse there arew always exceptions depending on the persons body.

Answer #5

I HAVE MY INDUSTRIAL DONE BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT SIZE IT IS.. IS IT LIKE AN 18?? ITS THE ONE THEY NORMALLY PUT AT THE PIERCING SHOP

Answer #6

My ears are currently gauged to a 4g. What I did when I started gauging my ears was I took two 16g lip studs through my ears. Then I bought 14g pinchers from Wal-Mart, and kept on gauging up from there. After those pinchers, I’ve always bought my tapers and gauges online from mspiercing.com. They have really good prices and if you buy from them often, every so often you’ll get a discount card with your purchase. Oh, and to the person who said you have to have surgery to close your ears up, that isn’t always true. (:

Answer #7

I have had my ears gauged since december and im currently at a 00g without any blowouts or anything. I started with a 14g and cleaned them at least 3 times a day but anything bigger then a 14g then i wouldnt recommend starting past that
