What do you think of singers that use auto-tune?

i think they still sound good..:P i have an auto-tune app on my ipod called ladida and i LOVE it! it makes me sound good and its fun to use…so i have nothing against auto-tuned singers:)

i think its just a fake and they are a poster. im sorry i hate when so called artists use auto tune to make them sound good. i think its stupid. i think if the person needs to use auto tune then they shouldnt even be singing. i look at auto tune users as non talented voices. but some of those artists do write their own music, surprisingly so they have talent in writing but not singing

I dont see the big deal. If the music still sounds good thats all that matters to me. I really could care less how an artist chooses to make their music sound better - in the end, all that people care about is catchy tunes.

There’s a computer game I play called Team Fortress 2. I was playing it one night and one of the other players on-line was using auto-tune when he talked in the microphone. It was pretty funny. As far as singers go, I think it’s OK to use auto-tune every now and then but it shouldn’t be used all the time. It’s better to have a natural singing voice. Think of it this way, they don’t let contestants use auto-tune on American Idol, do they?

Uh… i don’t really care, but i like to know if they did or if they didn’t, so i don’t go hailing them as perfect people when they used auto-tune, but i still enjoy their music.

I think it’s ok to use auto tune but not a lot. like using it to clean up the song a bit is fine by me but when you use it to sound like an android that’s when I start to have a problem. In my opinion I think auto tune used in that matter is destroying a very beautiful form of art. I don’t mind them have electronic sounds for the beats it’s when they use it to change the human voice into something robotic. our singing is unique to our species and when people distort it into something unnatural and non human like it totally ruins its uniqueness and takes all of the beauty and individualism out of the song. In my opinion the use of auto tune will eventually destroy the art of singing.

it doesnt matter to me as long as it still sounds good and their music is good.

auto-tune is for ppl who cant sing. i hate how they put all these bad singers on the radio. mainstream doesnt have good taste in music

Though the finished product is pleasing, the method of acquiring it is in my opinion immoral.If I were to paint a bad painting, later to get it professionally edited and perfected on photoshop, would it be moral for me to sell it, claiming that the artwork is solely the product of my own skill? Same thing.
