Tunes Help!
Hi.
One of my targets for 2009 is to get some tunes done for my lyrics. Any advice on how to get started? Recommended software? And what are your views on songwriting software?
Just to let you know, I’m thinking of recording some rough vocals to help me, but they’ll be on my phone at the moment because I don’t have a microphone yet. blush I’m thinking of removing them after I’ve done the tune. Is this a good idea, and if you want to send demos out, do they HAVE to have vocals (I’m a songwriter) or can you send lyrics with them. :)

I have friends who were accepted into Berkeley school of music in Boston, with only instrumentals. You don’t need to be able to sing, include the lyrics with the recording. Possibly have a friend sing it for you, or put an ad for a singer, if you’d like it to sound more ‘complete’.
