Do you think this sign in a restaurant its kind of rude?

When you go to eat in a restaurant, and in the wall there is a sign that says time for food consuming its 30 minutes, We are rushed in our jobs, taking the train and everything and now we are rushed to eat too. Restaurants , and coffeshouses are supposed to be family places to hang around with friends or am i wrong? What do you think?

Answer #1

They want you outta there to make room for new customers. It’s somewhat understandable if people are “hanging out” for extended periods of time, but 30 minutes sounds extreme. Money motivated.

Answer #2

This is actually pretty common in fast food restaurants and mall food courts. The point is to allow room for new paying customers. If you’ve finished eating, you shouldn’t be taking up a seat that a new customer could be using.

To be honest, I think it’s a good idea … I don’t know how many times I’ve had to stand around, food tray in hand, waiting for someone to leave a table … all too often because they are just sitting there chatting.

Answer #3

If it is a fast food restaurant i think it makes sense but if its a sit down restaurant i dont think they should have one

Answer #4

When you finally own a business, or are responsible for a business you will understand.

Restaurants especially, live or die based on how many people they can cycle through their doors each day. If you take up hours in there, then they will not make enough money, and they will have to close the doors.

Permanently.

This is why restaurants who charge a lot, allow you to be in there for a long time.

Answer #5

VERY RUDE. I go to relax and enjoy.. . Personally, if I were to go to a restaurant with my lady and they had this sign, I would NEVER go back.
