How old does my puppy need to be to get her shots?

Answer #1

6 weeks usually, there are some shots that they give at 8 weeks too.

Answer #2

6 weeks

Answer #3

6 weeks old.

Answer #4

Usually they get their first shot at 6 weeks unless the breeder has given a parvo shot earlier than that. They then get 2-3 more booster shots in the series about 2-3 weeks apart till they are done. The multiple shots are due to maternal antibody interference and that is why they are repeated. After the puppy series they then get a 1 yr old booster

Answer #5

The first vaccine a puppy gets is at 4 weeks and is a nasal vaccine for kennel cough. They can also get a parvo shot at this time (Neo-Par is the best!). They get another parvo at 5 weeks, then a 5-way at 6 weeks, another parvo at 7 weeks, then another 5-way at 8 weeks. They then get another 5-way at 12 weeks of age. Rabies vaccine is usually given at 12-13 weeks of age. They need to get re-boostered for these once a year after that. Hope this helps!
