Why am I still short? I'm 17 and 5' 6". My dad is 6' 1" and my mom is 5' 7".

most likely, but at 17, you’ll probably only gain a couple inches at most. ^^^@claudette, 5’6” is realllllly short for a guy.

You might, but not by much if you do. 5’6” isn’t terrible for a guy. i know a few guys that are that tall.

yes most likely you will get a lil taller. and just so you know 5’6” really isn’t that short for a guy now a days. The Average height for a guy now is only 5’8” and most I know are shorter than that so don’t feel bad.

You may have not reached your full height yet. Men dont stop growing untill they are 22 years old.. You might be stuck right now but that doesnt mean you wont end up growing a few more inches before to long.

usually you dont stop growing til your 19. when i turned 17, i was 5,11 and stuck there. im 17 and 1/2 now and im 6ft finally

ya may-b ur smaller then alot of ppl in ur grade but ur not short they just hit there growspurt b4 u don’t worry u’ll hit it 2 and u’ll b taller them just don’t let them tease u abt ur height

ur not short! u won’t stop growing for a while i was 5’2” when i was in 5th grade stopped growing for a while and now i’m 5’8” and a half i probably will still keep growing but sometimes you just stop for a while and then grow alot!

You very well could shoot up some more. What does the rest of your family look like height wise? If just your dad has the height, and its not really common in your family you might now.

But I do know my uncle shot up like 5” between 18 and 21 so its possible (he topped out at 6ft 7”)
