hunni i would use a condom as well unless BOTH of you have been checked for STDs etc. even if you have i would still use a condom just to be on the safe side! you really dont want to catch chlamydia or gonoheria or something because they can put you in alot of pain and also leave you infertile! use a condom!

Yes you can have sex without a condom will on the pill (as long as you’re both STD free)

That’s the whole purpose of the pill! If you are taking you pill correctly (on time every day no drug interactions and no vomiting or diarrhea after taken the pill then you should be fine.)

It takes 7 days for you to be full protected on the pill (not a month like many gynecologists say, they only say that to get you into the routine of being consistent.)

luvhim831 ‘s information is incorrect. If taking the pill correctly, you are protected 99.97% - if taking perfectly! Now if you’re late here and there then the rate of effectiveness decreases to about 95% to 95 %.

I’ve been on the pill for 2 1/2 years and have never had any problems. My husband and I only use condoms when I’m iffy about my pills. (if I forget a pill or take one late etc.)
