I was thinking very hard on this question which I think could be an answere that might make reasonable since. if there is only 144,000 people that would make it to heaven (12,000) from each tribe how would you know what tribe your are from, maybe, just maybe I think the only way to seperate us is by our birth. example tribe of (LEO) tribe of(TAURUS) tribe of (CAPICORN) and this would be probably the only way to devide us without guessing on our history of ancestry . if you have a differn't thought please share it . im curious of anybody's thoughts on this .
No, Lightbulb, I do not believe you are being too curious at all. When I first got saved, I had lots of questions too. It is wonderful that this forum exists, so that the questions can be asked. And many thanks go to the ones doing the answering. Thanks also to the ones that made the site possible.
The bible has the answers that you are seeking. And while it is wonderful to get advice here, how are you going to know its right, unless you read the book yourself? Not saying that you haven't , just that is very important that you do.
The 144,000 that you mention, are not the only ones going to heaven. The bible says that the number in heaven, is a multitude, that no man could number. This specific number that you mention, to my understanding are Jewish evangelists that are sealed during the Tribulation period, they have a job to do.
Others, I am sure will have a different take on this, but, that is my understanding.
Many of us are Gentiles, and not Jewish at all. We have just been grafted into the family of God.
Hi Lightbulb! I like your name by the way. The dead in christ, meaning those who have died a Christian, will be going to heaven when Jesus Christ's second coming happens.
The 144,000 are those who will be true followers of Christ who are alive and remain, who are still living when Jesus' second coming happens.
There are not very many true Christians at the end of time as we know it, as a matter of fact, the end is going to happen very, very soon. Jesus will appear with all the angels of heaven with Him. The trumpet will sound and the dead will rise first! It will be a moment that nothing came match it! He is coming soon, AMEN!

Babe im sorry but heaven isnt like that it doesnt go by number it goes by if you are saved or not if you have a relationship with god or not if you had fallowed his path none of that has anythign to do with heaven cuase if we were all just a number that wouldnt be fare
we werent born by a sign like leo we were born because are parents got horny and made a baby that didnt pop out until 9 months either which to me throws all that months stuff off because you were made nine months before you popped out of your mom so you were laready living

It's very interesting to me that you wonder about this. The tribes you are talking about are the 12 Tribes of Israel---Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin. Later, Jacob adopted two of Joseph's sons (Ephraim and Manasseh) equalling 13 tribes. (see Genesis 48).
the 144,000 are high preists that have been consecrated and "sealed" to do work and assist God. (there is a chapter about it in Revelation 7). This is not the number of people who will be able to enter heaven. I challenge you to pray on that fact...ask and be willing to recieve the answer.

I accept jesus christ as my savior, and I constantly have ideas and questions everymoment of my day. I've been given the opportunity to just take my thoughts and put them out here for people to read about and see if they are sometimes thinking about these things like I am . I sometimes wonder if the world is just being to busy to wounder about these things or is it just me being to curious.
Well I never thought of it that way, but the only way you get to heaven is if you pray and believe that Jesus was our/your savor!
