There are food and contact allergies that make a dog itch…food is one you have to find via elimination…(some dogs quit itching if put on a grain free kibble)…Contact allergies are hard to pinpoint…carpet, grass, dust, there are a million of them.

One way to keep her skin and coat healthy is by adding Omega’s to diet via fish oil caps…(they are inexpensive…you can get them at Walmart). They may not make her quit itching, but they do help in keeping her coat and skin in good shape.

might be ellergic to something that is effecting the skin and causing irritation, are you using the correct shampoo for your dog, try different shampoos for your dog and if all else fails take to the vets .. hope this helped

Our dachsund has a lot of food allergies, and was scratching all the time until we had her tested.

I’m assuming this is a dog?

She may have a skin irritation…take her to the vet for some treatment.
